In the context of the legalization, standardization and internationalization of the e-cigarette industry, the e-cigarette Special Committee held this ceremony to publicize the commitment and determination of Chinese e-cigarette enterprises in compliance operation, their responsibility for quality safety and protection of minors, establish a positive image of China's e-cigarette industry, and promote the healthy development of the global e-cigarette industry. Yao Jide, Chairman of the e-cigarette Committee, delivered a speech: "Since its establishment six years ago, the e-cigarette Committee has always been committed to regulating the development of the industry, and has continued to do a lot of work for the compliance development of member enterprises. In the context of the global legalization of e-cigarettes, our e-cigarette committee is duty-bound to play an important role in guiding the healthy development of the industry."
The e-cigarette committee has more than 600 member companies. Under the comprehensive supervision of the government, regulators, the e-cigarette Committee of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, the media and the public, all member enterprises will strictly abide by the Regulations on the Implementation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Tobacco Monopoly, the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors, the Measures for the Administration of e-cigarettes and other relevant laws and regulations, as well as the national standards and requirements of e-cigarettes. At the same time, we will strictly abide by the laws and regulations of the export destination countries and regions, earnestly fulfill our social responsibilities, and continue to optimize the business environment.
It is incumbent on e-cigarette enterprises and practitioners to operate in compliance and jointly promote the healthy development of the industry.
There are five contents in the Letter of Commitment of Compliance Operation. These include "strengthen compliance management, improve compliance capacity", "pay attention to production safety, strictly observe the bottom line of product safety", "strictly abide by the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Minors", Fulfill the promise of not selling e-cigarettes to minors ", "export business shall abide by the applicable laws, regulatory rules and standards of e-cigarettes in the destination countries and regions" and "establish environmental awareness and strive to achieve the goal of 'carbon peak' and 'carbon neutrality'".
After signing the letter of commitment, Zhao Guanyun said with emotion: "Thank the special committee for holding this activity, timely to the industry sounded the alarm of compliance of China's e-cigarette compliance road has a long way to go. Compliance policies should be thoroughly understood, otherwise the enterprise will be a careless move, all bets are off. The industry should make concerted efforts to get closer to the norm, not to seek short-term benefits, so as to call the real unity." Wang Liyun said, "The special committee gathered everyone to hold this event, which shows the e-cigarette enterprises' compliance attitude and determination, and can promote the sound, healthy and beneficial development of the industry. We will actively support the management and initiatives of the committee and resolutely put an end to any actions that harm the interests of the industry."
Secretary-general Ao Weino said: "The e-cigarette committee will give full play to its role as a bridge between enterprises and regulatory agencies, enhance service awareness, strengthen self-regulation, regulate members' behavior, and make new contributions to the healthy, orderly and prosperous development of the country's electronic industry. In the future, the e-cigarette Committee will strictly manage and consciously serve member enterprises, and set thresholds and requirements for member enterprises. For non-compliant enterprises, we will strictly advise and train them, otherwise they will face the elimination mechanism of the industry. "We will not only provide assistance to companies that have made commitments and statements on compliance development, but also protect the legitimate rights and interests of our member companies when their legitimate rights and interests are infringed upon."
