Mexico enacts new tobacco restriction law

Mexico enacted a new tobacco control law: it includes a ban on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship, as well as a ban on e-cigarettes in indoor public places.

 

According to CTFK data, about 30% of adolescents in Mexico have been exposed to secondhand smoke in public places. The new law states that e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products will also be banned in indoor public places.

 

CFTK's program director said: "Mexico's new tobacco restriction law was implemented quickly, ensuring that all Mexicans are protected from the deadly tactics of Big Tobacco. This is both good for public health and for better retention of Mexican government advocates and advocates.
